Tokyo International Quilt Festival (again)

The quilt show was held in the Tokyo Dome which is a huge stadium built for baseball in Tokyo.  Fortunately my hotel was right next door (Tokyo Dome Hotel) and I had a spectacular view over the Dome and the city of Tokyo ..... you can get an idea of just how big the venue was from here .....

The weather was pretty cold (especially if you have left Australia in the middle of a very warm summer) but inside the venue was warm and welcoming ..... if you can zoom in on this photo you will see the number of stalls and people and this is taken at 10am ..... as the crowds began to gather ......

There was a big display of quilts influenced by Monet's Garden .... they were all very beautiful .... and here is Monet sitting in his garden painting .....

The flowers surrounding the Monet exhibition were all handmade, including water lilies and countless flowers ..... the quilts were divine .....
